We provided heating for a modern apartment building in Prague, Koloděje, which has 4 residential units. We will introduce you to the entire project in the following article.
It is a building with three floors, a heat loss of 18.73 kW and a heated area of 422 m2. The calculated temperature in the living rooms was considered to be 20 ° C, in the technical rooms 15 ° C.
Each of our cooperation with the client begins with finding out the requirements of a specific customer and developing a tailor-made project. In this case, we agreed on a solution where the heating will be divided into 34 circuits and the control will be controlled by the Jablotron 100 security system, which can combine heating control and building security. The advantage of this solution is remote access and the ability to regulate heating via the application or via the Internet.
After consulting with the investor, we decided to solve the entire ground floor by laying durable carbon films and cover the entire second and third floors, with the exception of the bathrooms, with carbon heating foils. Carbon foil is highly durable and can be poured into concrete. It is used in rooms where linoleum, marmoleum or ceramic tiles are used as floor covering. It can also be used in areas with higher heat loss, as it has a higher output per unit area. On the other hand, carbon heating film is more suitable for areas where there is no glued covering and it is desirable to use the thinnest possible solution. A total of 294 square meters of carbon foil was used in the entire building.
The decision of the investor to equip the house with carbon films will bring many advantages to the inhabitants of the flats and will make their daily lives easier, for example thanks to simple regulation. The tenant or owner can set the desired temperature inside the apartment before leaving work, and when he arrives, the apartment is heated to the desired value.
Heating with heating films guarantees perfect thermal comfort thanks to radiant heat transfer and even distribution. Thanks to the heat transfer by radiation, we can achieve the same thermal comfort at a set temperature 1 – 2 ° C lower than using conventional plate radiators (“radiators”). This will bring significant financial savings to the inhabitants of the house, if we reduce the temperature by 1 ° C, we can achieve savings of up to 6% of the total heating costs. In addition, radiant heat transfer does not allow air to dry out and dust inside the building is reduced.
